How it works
A clear path from track list to licensed release
Licensing is mostly careful research and correct paperwork. Here is exactly what happens, what we need from you and what you get back.
Submit your release
Send the track list: titles, original writers, durations, ISRCs if you have them, formats, estimated units and target territories.
We research and clear
We confirm ownership and splits, check each song’s eligibility and request the right license for each format and territory.
Royalties are settled
You approve a quote that shows every royalty line. We pay the rights holders and keep the records.
Deliver with proof
You receive the license documentation and the exact credits to enter at upload. We stay on for renewals, top-ups and statements.

What we need from you
- Song title and the original songwriters (and the original artist, for reference)
- Duration of your recording
- ISRC, if one has been assigned
- Release formats: physical, download, streaming
- Estimated units for physical and download sales
- Target release date and territories
- Any change to lyrics, language or structure

What you receive
- A quote showing the royalty for every song, format and unit tier
- License confirmation with the license ID and provider
- The publisher names exactly as licensed
- Songwriter credits and the title format to use at upload
- The list of territories you may distribute to
- Payment records and periodic statements
Credits that match the license
- Credit the original songwriters in the composer fields — not yourself.
- Do not put the original artist in your artist fields or in the title. “Song Title (Cover)” or “(Acoustic Version)” is fine; “Cover of Artist” is not.
- Public-domain works are credited as Traditional or Public Domain, but a modern arrangement of one may still be protected.
- Restrict your distributor’s territories to the ones on your license.
How long it takes
Songs from mainstream catalogs with clear ownership usually move quickly. Custom permissions depend on the publisher and can take weeks — and some are declined. We give you a realistic timeline for each song when we quote, and we recommend licensing before your release date is announced.

Planning a release? Clear it before it ships.
Send us the track list. We reply with what we need, the route for each song and a quote — before anything is filed.
