For distributors & labels

Cover licensing for your users, without the overhead

Your artists upload covers every day. Each one needs a license your platform can verify. We take that work off your support and rights teams — with processes built for volume.

What the program includes

  • Bulk intake

Submit releases from your catalog exports or in batches; we work from the metadata you already hold.

  • Status by track

Know which songs are licensed, pending, restricted by territory or need a custom permission.

  • Territory mapping

License territories delivered in a form your delivery settings can apply directly.

  • Royalty accounting

Royalties calculated, paid and reported, with statements your finance team can reconcile.

  • Policy support

Credit and title checks against your cover policy before the release reaches the stores.

  • Your brand or ours

Offer licensing as an Accountdel Services service or, on request, under your own brand.

Why distributors outsource licensing

  • Cover uploads that fail policy end in takedowns, withheld earnings and support tickets.
  • Mechanical rules differ by format and by territory — and rates change every year.
  • Publishers expect accurate accounting long after the release goes out.

A note on YouTube and Content ID

A mechanical license covers audio. Cover videos are synchronization uses, and on YouTube the song’s publisher typically claims them through Content ID. Because a cover includes a composition the uploader doesn’t own, distributors generally keep covers out of Content ID. We help you explain this clearly to your artists.

What we collect

When you use the contact form we receive the details you enter: your name, email address, company or artist name, artist profile and social links, the client who referred you, your role, the type of request, an approximate number of songs and your message. We also receive the technical data any web server records, such as your IP address and browser type, which we keep in server logs for security.
